Getting the most from your GLP-1

Your refill request is in. Dr. Smith reviews it within 24–48 hours — once approved, you'll get an invoice by email, we'll order your product on payment, and pickup can typically be scheduled within 7–10 days. In the meantime, a few habits make a real difference in how you feel and how well the medication works.

Protein first

Aim for 25–30g of protein at each meal. It protects muscle while you lose weight and helps you feel full on less food.

Water, steadily

Appetite suppression can mask thirst. Sip through the day rather than large amounts at once — it also helps with nausea and constipation.

Move most days

A daily walk plus two strength sessions a week goes a long way — strength training especially, since it helps preserve the muscle you don't want to lose.

Smaller plates, slower meals

Your stomach empties more slowly on this medication. Eating slowly and stopping at the first sign of fullness prevents most of the nausea people report.

Fiber for constipation

If constipation shows up, add fiber — vegetables, fruit, chia or flax — and a short daily walk before reaching for anything else.

More dose isn't the goal

If your current dose is working, you don't need to increase it. A lower effective dose often means fewer side effects — go up only when your provider agrees it's needed.

Every plateau is normal — your body adapting, not failing. If side effects are hard to manage or your progress stalls, mention it on your next refill request and Dr. Smith will factor it into your plan.
